India – Ongoing
I first travelled to India in 2006 and have returned many times since. It is the country I have photographed more than any other, and for me, it remains the most photogenic. Photographing there requires speed and attention. The street is in constant motion. People, light, gesture, and noise shift from one second to the next. Frames appear and disappear quickly. Photographing in India asks for a different way of seeing. What keeps me returning is that the work still feels unfinished. India continues to surprise me, and I continue to look.
